Theresa is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Therapist, and a Massage, Bodywork and Yoga Teacher. After completing her massage therapy education, Theresa realized that to empower her clients in their healing process and wellness program, she needed to complement manual therapy with movement therapy. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Prancing Peacock Yoga Studio, 100 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Sally Miller Yoga, Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff and Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga with Joseph and Lillian LePage's  Integrative Yoga Therapy.

Her commitment to safe movement and alignment makes it necessary to limit her class size. Theresa believes each participant deserves individualized attention with verbal cues and light hand placement to signal physical adjustments. This technique allows the participant to feel and control safe adjustments so their body memory can repeat them in future practice.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a mindful and meditative practice that balances a fast paced hectic lifestyle. It is a practice of slowing down to open the mind, body and spirit. The poses in the class isolate deeper structures in the body, the joints, ligaments, fascia and organ meridians. Through a series of longer held poses, Yin yoga quiets the mind, reduces stress, increases flexibility, and facilitates organ function by releasing restriction and blockages. This practice is open to all. No prior experience is necessary.

8 Limbs Of Wrist Free Slow Flow 

If we were an octopus and had 8 arms, perhaps our wrist would not hurt! Soreness is common in the overworked and complex wrist and shoulder joints. Adaptations, creative sequencing, and props allow you to practice yoga, protecting your hands and shoulders from loading and pressure. A combination of purposeful non – weight bearing movements, this intimately sized class is perfect for everyone. Restrictions and adhesions in the body can be resolved simply by the introduction of movement where it is lacking. From the beginner to the experienced yogi this class offers something for everyone - hip openers, balance poses, flow sequences, meditation, pranayama & mudra.

This course is offered for the therapist’s personal self-care and not to be taught to others or performed on clients. Connective Tissue Yin Yoga is a self-care practice to release tight, adherent tissues that form within the fascial network and around joints. Much like Myofascial Release therapy, the practice of Yin Yoga involves poses held for 3 to 5 minutes with lighter sustained pressure at the edge of a restriction. The moisture stimulating stretches, initiate a thixotropic change, liquefying connective tissues creating space, flexibility and suppleness of the joints and body. Each held posture is a mini-mediation providing time for self-reflection, mindfulness, breath work, body awareness, and peace. This enormously healing practice opens and creates space in the body, mind, and spirit.  

Nidra Night 3 Class Series $45

We live in a chronically fast paced, over worked and over stimulated environment. Yoga Nidra, also known as conscious sleep, is a systematic method to calm, relax, renew, and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. It is a combination of full body relaxation and quieting the mind. Take a break from the fight or flight lifestyle and gradually slip into a harmonious state of well-being.

If the first thought that comes to mind is " I wish I had time" or "my mind is never quiet" or "I can't sit still for an hour" then please do not delay, those are classic sign that this class is for you!

Move Into Flexibility 

This class is a journey into increased self awareness and discovery. As I began to design and practice the sequence for this class, I thought I would simply link joint range of motion movements to breath. Was I ever wrong! Each day I practiced, I learned the subtle (and not so subtle) compensation, inequality and weakness in my movements. I also identified contributors to discomforts in my body. The more I practiced, the more equal and smooth my range of motion became. With the increase in flexibility came a decrease in discomfort and compensation.

Introductory Class

Join me to discover which class best suits your style. This donation class includes segments of all classes offered. We will begin with a silent mediation to slow down and let go. Then begin your journey of self-awareness through a series of range of motion exercises. Slowing down we will embrace the stillness of yin yoga. Ultimately completing your journey towards being at ease with a yoga nidra savasana.
